Eventually developers have the need to generate a PDF based on an webpage. In my case it was for generating invoices for my client. However going from HTML webpage to PDF is no simple task. But thanks to the ABCPDF.net component from websupergoo anyone with some basic coding skills can do this.

I took a gamble and decided to try Highpoint's latest flagship Raid Card ( RocketRaid 4520 ) for my new web server. Naturally when I get a new piece of hardware I like to put it through some benchmarks to see if it really performs the way it should. When this combined with your Operating System's Buffering and Caching this card is Excellent, but when Direct I/O is tested is falls short. To make a long story short, the Rocketraid 4520 does not perform well for IOPS at 4K. I have already contacted HighPoint and they inferred that their engineering team is aware of this, and are working on a new firmware that should fix the issues.

As some of you may know, I got my CHL ( Concealed Handgun License ) several months ago. But rather than try to conceal my glock 17 in one of the less safe manors. I have done my research and bought what I feel is the best IWB ( Inside the Waist Band ) Holster I could find. Hopefully this review will help others who are also looking to buy a holster to conceal.

This has to be the most asked question by anyone who is thinking of either getting a dedicated server, or colocating their own box. Even though I can't give you an exact answer. I can shed some light on the variables that will affect what kind of load a single server can handle.

When you start sending HTML emails, or Newsletters for your website to your subscribers, you are bound to find that many clients do not read your emails the same. What looks great in your email client, looks like crap in other email clients. Its bad enough developers had had to use hacks and tweaks to make their websites look the same across all browsers. Formatting emails to look the same is even harder. However using a few guides and analyzing the source from a few emails, I was able to determine how to code an HTML email that will make 99% of your subscribers happy.

Any Texas man will tell you. A trip to Walmart demands you stop by the Hunting and Fishing Department to take advantage of any sales on Ammo. So today when my wife asked me to stop by Walmart to pick up a few things, I of course decided to checkout the prices on 9mm. I had herd rumors that there were national shortages in ammo, but seeing an empty ammo cabinet at the Friendswood Walmart leaves you somewhat mentally scared.

Before anyone considers throwing an SSD into your server, its important to be sure your server is not going to destroy that SSD with writes after a few months. In this guide I will show you how to use Performance monitoring in Windows Server 2008 R2 to determine what kind of write activity your server is currently doing. Then after that we can calculate our daily and annual writes, allowing us to determine how long that shiny new SSD will last in our server.

I am currently building a new Server for Colocation. This time around I am going to use SSD drives instead of the 15K SAS drives. Even though the 15K SAS drives have been reliable performers, the newest SSD drives simply blow them away in terms of IO. However SSD drives have a few issues you should be aware of. Wear Leveling! But before you decided that SSD drives are too much risk for your server, do the math, and ask yourself, how much writing does your server really do.
