This was a question I asked myself recently. Its hard to believe that there are still people out there that don't accept HTML formatted emails. But do mail servers from major providers punish emails that don't provide some old school plain text formatting for the 5 people in the world who are still get their email via compuserve? So I will be experimenting to find out.

Recently I moved a few of my clients to Godaddy. Even though I hear lots of bad things about godaddy, my websites are running faster than they had been running on HostMySite. Turns out that this speed increase might have more to do with PING times than the hardware they were hosted on.

If you have ever ran into the problem of having your floated elements not line up correctly in IE6, and you have already tried all the other suggestions like display:inline; clear:both; position:relative; I have a solution, although you may not like it.

So one my clients has recently out grown their HostMySite VPS box. It was time to migrate them to a larger box. The choice we went with was a Windows Dedicated Server with Godaddy. In this blog posting I explain the server we got. Why we picked certain features, and how the setup is going. This is a must read for anyone who is thinking about Hosting with Godaddy.

If you have found this blog post, the chances are you have already searched the web for hours trying to figure this out. Running a single website on godaddy is not a problem. but once you start running multiple asp.net websites on your godaddy hosting account, and they all use custom 404 handling as part of URL rewriting you will run into problems. Here is how I made it work.

For those of you who are considering using Godaddy for Hosting your website, I have written a detailed blog to help shed some light on the good, and bad and the ugly about doing business with godaddy. Searching google you will find plenty of negative reviews on their hosting and support. This is an unbiased writeup that is written from my point of view as a developer that has built websites for over 8 years.

Broken links are never a good thing. In fact some search engines will penalize you for them. Instead of browsing every page on your website looking for broken links. A developer made a nice will tool that does it for you. Works Awesome! Try it out

I have become very disturbed recently in seeing that many sites, especially big ones are voiding any kind of SEO value to external links. They add rel="nofollow" to every comment link and even their own content, to ensure that they hog all the page rank for themselves. However I think google may have something up their sleeves.
