Obama is a communication style not an agenda

Paul WhiteNo body can argue with the fact that Obama was elected mostly because
of his communication style and ability to connect with common folks.
Some people will say he made it to power because of his stance on key
issues, or because the mass media often portrayed him in a better light
than they did McCain. Now that he is in power, there is a definite
change in the way the he communicates with everyone from the troops to
the middle class.
First I will admit that the press ( with the exception of Fox news ) does tend to focus more on the positive things Obama does than, snipe him for little things. The press is known to lean left, and therefore it would be normal for them to publish the good of Obama while they would publish the almost retarded remarks Bush would make.
In all honestly I don't think Obama loves this country any more than Bush, but he does have a way of communicating his thoughts. Bush would just say, "We are proud of you". Obama would give logical explanations, that show he is proud, and also show he understands the bigger picture.
As a quote from MSN
Weighing on Obama is a pending decision on
Afghan war strategy. Stopping off at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska
on his way to Asia, Obama told a military audience he will only commit
more forces to Afghanistan if it is vital to U.S. interests and
receives public support.
"I will not risk your lives unless it is necessary to America's vital interests," Obama told the troops.
"And
if it is necessary," Obama added, "the United States of America will
have your back. We'll give you the strategy and the clear mission you
deserve. We'll give you the equipment and support you need to get the
job done. And that includes public support back home."
Obama is smart, he knows that you can't just send troops into a war zone, giving them the equipment, supplies and pay, then when you bring them home between tours of duty, they spend the entire time, trying to explain to their family and friends why they are over there. Its important that a Troop's Peers back home understand and Support him.
Recently Obama turned down all proposals submitted for dealing with the war in the middle east. Its obvious this is not a man who is going to commit to any kind of plan, whether its
business, war, or social, if he can't see an end to the plan. The military is no different than a corporation. They want power, and market dominance. Their goal is not an exit strategy, but wars that last for decades ( or at least til they retire with full rank ) In the Military you can only be called a leader if you have troops under you. Hence the reason they of course want to send more troops to a war zone. More Troops means more power, and more potential for rank advancement. Once an officer becomes a general climbing through the ranks becomes a war in itself. Only so many 1 Star Generals make it to 2 Star, and only so many 2 Star make it to 3 Star. As time goes on technology will replace many in the military. As it is most of today's military is run by sub contractors. Fewer Generals will be needed, and fewer Troops. You could train a 12 year old to fly Drones. This is the direction things are going.
My personal opinion is if these countries really want freedom, they need to start their own civil war to get it. We can't fight everyone else's civil wars for them. War is nothing more than a way to compromise between two groups of people who have very different ideas, and no willingness to compromise.
Its obvious that Obama has changed since taking power. Every day he wakes up to a list of Troops who were killed in action. Maybe all the daily military briefings are finally getting to him. It will be interesting to see how he changes as time goes on.
