So spring is here ( at least it is in south Texas ). My lawn is
dormant and it is making my house the eye sore of the neighborhood.
Thankfully I know just the product to green up my lawn, and ensure the
grass is greener on my side of the fence. I will be including before
and after shots to show the progress.
The following shot was taken on March 13th. This is of my backyard. Notice how the only thing that isn't dormant is the weeds.
After using my secret weapon.
Vigoro Weed and Feed ( about a 40 lbs bag ). Our yard is 12,000 sqft. Each bag is good for up to 10,000 sqft. I used two bags to ensure greatness. This stuff is like Viagra for your lawn. Just be prepared to mow often as it will keep growing fast for several months. The only place I have found this for sale is Home Depot. the 40 lbs bag runs about $20. I also bought a bag of Ironite for the queen palms and to help make the lawn extra green. Ironite will make your lawn and palms that dark green color. I used the ironite lightly on the grass and then heavily on the queen palms.
