Does Google Fi Cell Phone Service work in Lincoln Nebraska

Nov 17, 2016 by Paul White

Before the move I had been a relatively happy customer with T-Mobile.  Unlimited everything, though it was costing me about $90 / month.  Unfortunately T-Mobile doesn't have towers in Nebraska, so the coverage sucks!. So I have decided to give Google Fi a try.

HTC Sensation 4G Chrome Polished Frame

Jul 24, 2011 by Paul White

When I used to have a an HTC HD2 one of the things I did was polish my battery cover.  As you can imagine the full aluminum frame of the HTC Sensation 4G was one of the major reasons I got this phone.  Finally I set aside a few hours to polish my Sensation 4G's frame.  The results were stunning.  I figured others may also want to do this.  So I have written a tutorial on how to polish the frame of your HTC Sensation 4G.

Jul 22, 2011 by Paul White

If you have a smart phone they you likely also have an microSDHC card for storage of your photos, videos, and Apps.  However all microSDHC cards are not created equal.  In this blog I will run some benchmarks on a few cards I had laying around.  I will test a Sandisk 16GB class 2 microSDHC, a Samsung 8GB class 6 microSDHC, and a Lexar 32GB class 10 microSDHC memory card. Hopefully people can use this data to help them make informed decisions on what card they want to buy.

Upgrading to an HTC Sensation 4G

Upgrading to an HTC Sensation 4G

Jun 26, 2011 by Paul White

My Current Cell Phone is an HTC HD2 that I ported to Android 2.3.  There hasn't been much reason to upgrade, as most phones had the same screen size, or the same resolution.  Finally the HTC Sensation has arrived.  In my opinion its the logical upgrade from my HD2.  Same 4.3" LCD, higher Resolution, and 8 MP camera with 1080P video recording, along with 1.2 Ghz Dual Core snap dragon CPU.

Tmobile 3G Sim Card vs 2G Sim Card

Tmobile 3G Sim Card vs 2G Sim Card

May 10, 2011 by Paul White

After being with T-Mobile for a little over a year, I almost had the last straw with poor 3G connectivity. That was until I figured out there are two types of Sim Cards.  2G Sim Cards and 3G Sim Cards. If you have been having dropped calls and poor 3G data coverage, you need to visit a T-Mobile store and they will gladly exchange out your 2G Sim card for a 3G Sim card, and its free too!  I know what you are thinking?  How can I tell which sim card I have?  Read this article for the details.

Verizon Thunderbolt and LTE Benchmark Very Fast

Verizon Thunderbolt and LTE Benchmark Very Fast

Mar 27, 2011 by Paul White

A buddy of mine ( Thomas ) recently upgraded from his old HTC Touch Pro 2 to a HTC Thunderbolt.  Going from Windows Mobile 6.5 to Android 2.2.  I thought this move was a good one, and I asked him to send me some benchmarks on how his new phone performs on Verizon's LTE network ( real 4G ).  What he sent was unbelievable.
